Match: How Do I Use The Search Configuration To Search for Matches?

Once you have created your catalog of baseline products, you need to decide what type of matches you want and from which retailers.

Click Configure search at the top right of your catalog table.

This will open the Search configuration filter panel to the right of your screen.

Select the product matching type that you need.

An Exact match will return products that match your baseline products on garment category, color, pattern, and brand, but are sold at a different retailer or in a different market. For example, you want to monitor the same black Gucci Marmont quilted bag across regions.

A Similar match has more deviation from your baseline products. Such as a different color, pattern or brand. For example, you want to monitor black skinny jeans at all key competitors.

Filter retailers allows you to select the retailers that you want to include in your search.

You can use the Select all checkbox or use the search bar to search and add specific retailers you want to match against. Type the country code to narrow down the retailer list to a specific market, such as UK.

The choice of retailers to select is a predefined universe set by your organization.

Similar matches have the option to select a Similarity filter. This filter becomes visible only if you’ve chosen Similar match.

When selected, fields here will be matched against your baseline product. For example, if you only want matches from the same brand as your baseline product, or from the same category.

Leave these filters unchecked for a broader search that includes more diverse matches.

The last step is to adjust your Match score threshold. The higher this score is, the closer your matches will be. 95% or above is recommended for exact matches and 85% and above for similar matches.

Click the Search button once you have selected all of your filters.

EDITED will now search for products matching your baseline product according to your selected criteria.
