Tutorial: How Do I Adjust Workbook Filters In Market?
This tutorial is interactive. To move to the next step, please follow the prompts showing you where to click, or use the < and > arrows along the bottom.
26 STEPS
1. This tutorial will teach you how to add, remove, and adjust filters in the filter panel to tailor the products you wish to analyze.
2. Adjusting your filters is helpful if you decide you want to explore your analysis in more or less detail beyond your pre-loaded default filters.
You may want to add additional categories, or remove a retailer that might not be relevant.
3. Click on the filter you want to add, in this case Retailers.
4. Most filters will have a search feature to help narrow down your options.
All filters will allow you to select from a list of options.
5. Click Target to add it.
6. Click Close.
7. The filters already added will affect additional filter options available.
For example, only the Brands options stocked at the retailers selected will be available to add.
Tommy Bahama has 1,584 product options across the retailers selected.
8. Click Tommy Bahama.
9. Click Close.
10. Retailers and Brands both have the option to either Include or Exclude the filters added within these.
11. Click Exclude.
12. The filter will then be highlighted in dark grey to show it has been excluded.
13. Here you can see that Nike and Tommy Bahama have been excluded.
14. Click Include.
15. These brands are now included.
You can either Include or Exclude. You cannot have a combination of both.
16. Some filters like Categories, will have secondary options.
17. Click Categories.
18. Click the right arrow next to Tops.
19. This will then open a list of subcategories within Tops.
This can be helpful if you want subcategory specific insights as part of your category analysis.
20. Click T-shirts.
21. Click Polo Shirts.
22. Click Shirts.
23. Click Close.
24. To remove a filter click the X next to it.
25. Click the X within the Kohl's (US) Retailers filter.
26. Try amending your own filters within your Assortment or Pricing competitive market workbook.
