Research: How Do I Use the Ask Anything Feature?

Ask Anything is your AI-powered chat feature within Research. It uses generative AI to instantly summarize insights and data from EDITED's extensive library of publicly available research articles. Think of it as your personal retail intelligence assistant!

With Ask Anything, you can quickly get comprehensive answers to questions about current trends, recap past insights, or explore prominent messages and promotions, all backed by our industry-leading research. This means less time researching and more time acting on valuable information.

 

On the Ask Anything landing page, you will be able to:

  • Ask your own query.
  • Pick a question from our example queries using the Trends or Communication buttons.

 

Asking Your Own Query

 

Within the chat box, enter a question you want answered.

  • Watch the GIF below as an example of how to ask a question and view the results.

 

Selecting A Pre-made Query

 

Click on the Trend or Communication button to view a selection of frequently asked queries based on those subject areas.

Viewing Sources Behind The Query

 

For further research, you can view the supporting articles and sources behind the AI-generated query results. This allows you to dig deeper into the information and expand your understanding.

  • Click the Sources icon, and a list of articles will appear in the right-hand panel for you to access.


Remember, you can favorite an article for future reading by clicking on the star icon on the article.

 

Sharing Your Results

 

After our AI feature provides a response, you'll be able to copy the information.

  • Click the Copy icon to transfer the text to your clipboard for external use.

 

Accessing Previous Queries

 

Click the Chat History button to view and go back to all the queries you have entered previously.

  • Your chat history will be kept for 30 days.

 

 

Click the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons to let us know if this was a good response or a bad response.

 

This helps us train our AI model!
