Overlay: How Do I Use The Side Panel?
The side panel will appear on the left-hand side of your webpage. Here, you can customize your metrics, explore product performance, and apply dates, filters, and sorting to tailor your view.
- You can expand or close your side panel using the EDITED icon as shown in the GIF.

18 STEPS
1. In this tutorial, you will learn what each section of the Overlay side panel represents.
2. By default, your view when analyzing products and metrics is set to the Product level. You can change this to Option or Parent level if needed.
3. Click the Filter Icon.
4. The Filter icon lets you create custom filters to hide selected metrics and badges on products that don't meet your chosen criteria.
5. Click the Gear Icon.
6. The Gear Icon is where you change Overlay metrics, add additional analysis metrics, access bookmarked reports and external links, and manage your badges.
7. Click the Search Icon to Search for specific products across your website.
8. Click the Export Icon to export your data into a CSV file, which includes product category information, page sort order, four overlay metrics and PIDs.
9. Click the Three Dot Icon to manage your dashboards, contact EDITED support, adjust your panel configuration and disable or logout of the EDITED Overlay extension.
10. Click Peer Percentile.
11. in the Compare dropdown own you can select from vs period B, Peer Percentile, Overall Percentile.
12. Click the Calendar date range.
13. Within your Calendar, data can be viewed at a day-over-day level, week-over-week, month-over-month or custom range.
14. Click Order on Page.
15. Within the Sort By dropdown, you can sort by the metrics selected in your Overlay, for example, Sales. The side panel will then display products ranked from highest to lowest based on that metric.
16. Click the Clipboard Icon to copy and paste SKU IDs into Excel or other external programs.
17. Click the arrow beside the Franco Sarto Bags & Purses.
18. This expands the product tile to show additional KPIs and health indicators related to that product.

How Do I Configure My Side Panel?
You can configure the side panel position to either left or right by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Panel Configuration.
Select the Gear icon to adjust transparency and scale on your product tile, making metrics easier to read, especially over dark product images.
What Are The Different Page Views In My Side Panel?
The side panel will show one of two views, depending on what’s displayed on the webpage you’re looking at.
Category Page View: When viewing a category page on your website, the side panel will display the corresponding product tiles in the same order. You can expand each tile to see additional metrics and analytics.
Product Detail Page View: When viewing a single product on your website, that product will be highlighted in the side panel. You'll see detailed metrics below, along with images for any other SKU options.
