Overlay: How Do I Read The Action Impact Tab?

Action Impact is intended to measure the difference in profit or sales over what would have occurred if an action had not been executed.

  • Click the Cog icon to switch between an Estimated Profit and Sales Impact view.
  • Select the Action Impact tab and the radio button associated with the option of choice.

Action Impact: Price

Logs price actions when an item's Average Selling Price has changed over the period specified by at least 3 %.

  • A price change can happen due to a markdown, a price increase, or the start or end of a promotion.
  • A price drop is intended to boost sales speed and efficiency. If a promotion is removed or prices are raised, the goal is to manage these changes while maintaining stable conversion rates.

Action Impact: Availability

Availability actions occur when the availability of a SKU changes by at least 3% without a change in price, due to factors like replenishment or selling out of key sizes, colors, or materials.

  • Increasing SKU Availability is intended to boost sales speed and improve efficiency.

Action Impact: Exposure

Exposure actions occur when there is a shift of at least 3% in the relative percentage of product views within a category, as identified by EDITED.

  • The goal of relative category exposure shifts should be to increase the percentage of Views to above-average efficiency items and decrease the percentage of views to below-average efficiency items.
  • Actions like boosting and burying products, changing search results, and modifying product recommendation areas will help with exposure and increase the percentage of Views.

For example, if a specific item had 5% of product views in its category last week and increased to 5.2% this week, it would be recorded because that represents a 4% change.

The Action Candidates & Action Impact tabs are only available to users with licenses to the full EDITED Digital/Omni platform.
