Market: What Is EDITED's Out of Stock Methodology?
Some retailers immediately remove product from their website, without customers being able to visibly see that product as out of stock or no longer available to purchase.
We have created a methodology to account for these cases. If EDITED doesn’t see a product for 5 days in a row, we’ll then classify that product as out of stock.
*Note: A product will only be counted as sold out if we have seen 100% of SKUs go out of stock. For instance, a retailer must leave that product page up and advertise the product as sold out, as opposed to simply removing the listing altogether. If the listing is removed, we will infer the product is OOS, but will not consider this a true sell out.
