myEDITED: Why Are Both Positive & Negative Price Match % Differences In Increase & Decrease Price Adjustment Opportunities?
If you are comparing your own retailer/brand to a typically higher-priced competitor, the expectation is that you would want to be notified of a decrease pricing opportunity if the competitor had cheaper-than-expected or discounted options similar to yours, even if those options were still priced higher than your own.
Similarly, if you are comparing to a competitor selling much lower-priced options, you may still wish to be alerted to price increase opportunities - even if your options are still priced higher (e.g. your competitor's prices a style higher than their usual price range, you might want to consider doing the same for similar styles in your assortment).
This means it’s possible to display both positive and negative values for Current Match Price % Difference, for both increase and decrease price adjustment opportunities.
