myEDITED: How Do I Create A New Price Adjustment Opportunity?

 

Read the instructions below, or complete the interactive tutorial to learn how to use the Opportunity wizard to create a new Pricing Opportunity.

 

16 STEPS

1. This tutorial will teach you how to set up a new Opportunity.

2. Click the Set up new Opportunity button.

3. This will start the Opportunity Wizard.

You will first need to select a Market. This is the region you want to focus your analysis on.

4. Use the Search bar to quickly find the Market you want.

5. Next, select your baseline retailer. This will be your own business

Continue to follow the prompts on the Opportunity Wizard to select competitors, category and additional filters.

6. Once you have completed the Opportunity wizard, review your filters to check they are correct.

7. The product count threshold is between 1 to 500,000.

8. You will see an error message like this if the number of products returned exceeds the threshold.

Adjust your filters to reduce the number of products to continue.

9. Click the Back button to return to previous steps to amend or add to your filter selection.

10. Once you are happy with your selection click Continue.

11. Select a name for your Opportunity.

Choose naming conventions that are universal across your business.

12. Click Finish setup.

13. Your Opportunity will now start processing and be available soon.

14. The number of Opportunity runs your business has left can be seen at the top right of the page.

15. Once your Opportunity has finished processing, it will turn blue and clickable.

16. Look at the Last processed on column to see when Opportunities were last processed.

Click Set up new opportunity at the top right of your page.


 

This will start the Opportunity Wizard.

  • First select a Market. This is the region you want to focus your analysis on.
  • Click on the type bar to open the filter panel on the right-hand side of your page.

 

 

  • Next select your Baseline retailer first. This is your own company. 
  • Click on the type bar to open the filter panel on the right-hand side of your page.
  • Click Continue.

 

 

 

  • Select your competitors that you’d like to compare against.
  • Click on the type bar to open the filter panel on the right-hand side of your page. 
  • Scroll or use the search bar to find your competitors.
  • Select your competitors by using the check boxes.
  • Click Continue.

 

 

  • Select the Category you want to analyze.
  • Click continue.

 

 

  • You have the option of selecting additional filters.
  • Click continue.

 

 

  • Confirm your filter selection by clicking Continue once more. 

 

Pricing Opportunities require a selection of between 1 and 500,000 products. You can reduce the number by selecting fewer competitors, a more specific category selection, and/or applying additional filter conditions. An error message will appear if the number of products returned is not within the threshold.

 

  • Select a name for your Opportunity. 
  • Choose naming conventions that are universal across your business.
  • Add a description for more context.
  • Click Finish setup. 

 

 

 

Clicking finish set up is final. If you want to change any of the filters after this point, you will need to create a new Opportunity with your desired filters.

 

Running & Processing Opportunities

 

Once you create an Opportunity, it will begin processing straight away. It will run from the date created and take into account data from the last 30 days.

 

 

Once processing is complete, it will turn blue. You can choose to re-run this opportunity at a later date for more up-to-date data.

To re-run an Opportunity, click on the Re-run opportunity icon.
