Product Matching: How do I Create A Catalog & Select Baseline Products?
A catalog is a curated collection of products you select, which represent items you want to match. These products are referred to as your baseline products.
To create a catalog for scratch select + New Catalog from the Product Matching homepage.

Next, you need to select your baseline products. These are products that you’d like to find matches for. You will have two options to select from in the right-hand side panel:
- Click Select saved filter if you already have saved filters previously and you want to look at the same criteria again.
- Click Create a filter. If you haven't previously saved filters OR you want to look at a new set of criteria.
Using filters will narrow down your product list.

Filtering To Find Your Baseline Products
The products you are able to select for your baseline products will be a reflection of the filters you have applied in your filter panel.

1. This guide will teach you how to create a new filter.
In this example we shall look at ASOS and Zalando Womens Nike Dunk Trainers.
2. Click Create filter.
3. Country, Retailer, Gender & Category will be visible to to customize.
4. Click the Trashcan icon to remove unwanted conditions.
5. To select a Country click the Select Country section.
A side panel will appear on the left hand side for you to select the country you want to add to your filter.

6. Click the Select Country section to select the country you'd like to filter by. You can select multiple.

7. In this example we shall look at the United Kingdom.
8. Click the return icon to return to adding filters.
9. Click Select Retailer.
10. Click ASOS.
11. Click Zalando.
12. Click the return icon.
13. Click Select Gender.
14. Click Women.
15. Click the Return Icon.
16. Click Select Category.
17. Click the down arrow beside Footwear to open the subcategories.
18. Click Trainers/Sneakers.
19. Select Trainers/Sneakers.
20. Click the return icon.
21. If you know the specific product you want to match to, you can add in the Product name.
Type Dunk.
22. Click Apply.
23. Your baseline products will appear.
Click the X icon to exit the filter panel.

Within the Filter panel, click +Add condition to add additional fields.
- Select additional fields and metrics to refine your search.

Selecting Your Baseline Products
Once you have filtered your data set, you can select the exact products that you’d like to find matches for. These are your baseline products. To do this:
- Use the Select button at the bottom of each product card.
- If you’ve filtered down your products to 250 or less, you can use the Select All.

The Select all option is useful if you want to find matches for a full collection or category group. You can select a maximum of 250 products per catalog.
To deselect a product, click the Deselect button at the bottom of the product card.

Once you have selected baseline products, you can view them on their own by clicking Selected products. You also have the option in this area to Deselect products.

Clicking All products will take you back to your filtered product set.

Once you have selected your baseline products that you want to match against, click Save catalog at the top right of the screen.

Name your catalog. You have the option of adding a description.
- Click Save.
On saving, you will be taken to a table of your baseline products. This is called a grid.

If you want to edit your baseline products, click the Edit button in the top right corner. This will take you back to your catalog, where you can add or remove products.

Now you have your baseline products, the next step is to select the retailers that you want to search for matches at. Read Search Configuration: Selecting Where to Search for Matches.
