Messaging: How do I Analyze Retailer Communication Activity?

 

Analyze communications in your workbook by retailer via the Retailer tab. It is located in the top navigation bar.

 

 

The Retailer tab view displays the messaging within your workbook by retailer. 

There’s an option of two views; by retailer card or a list view. Use the Card and List icons to change your view. 

 

 

The List view lists the retailers that EDITED Messaging is tracking. 

 

 

In the card view, each retailer has a card that highlights:

  • Last Updated: The date the most recent communication was tracked. 
  • Channels: The number of channels results are displayed across.
  • Updates: The number of individual communication updates at the retailer.

 

Sort results using the Order Results By… drop-down menu at the top of the page. Messaging can be sorted by:

  • A to Z
  • Relevance - this is the default setting if a keyword/s is applied
  • Date: Newest to Oldest
  • Date: Oldest to Newest

 

 

Analyzing Specific Retailer Activity 

Click on a retailer card to see all the channels that EDITED tracks for that retailer. 

Remember that by default, your workbook is set to Past Month - unless you remove or change this time frame. 

 

  

The Retailers Activity heatmap at the top of the page shows the number of individual updates made across all of the channels that EDITED trackers at the retailer. 

  • The vertical axis lists the days of the week. The horizontal axis at the top lists the months of the year. Each square represents a day.

 

 

  • The darker a square is colored, the more channel updates there were on that particular day. Hover over the squares to see the date and number of individual events.

 

 

  • Click on a specific day within the heatmap to update your workbook to view only the channel updates for that specific date. 
  • To refine the results, add a specific region, keyword, or time frame in the left-hand filter panel. 

 

 

To look at a heatmap for a specific channel, you can either use the Channels filter in the filter panel or you can click on the channel’s card. For example, below, you can click on the H&M UK Homepage card. 

 

 

 

Captures of the channel’s communications are displayed under the heatmap. These can be ordered by newest to oldest or oldest to newest. Use the filter panel on the left to refine your analysis further (for example, add a keyword/s or date range).  

 

 

To view an individual communication in more detail, hover over the image, and See Update will appear. Click on the image to expand. 

 

 

Scroll down to view the whole image and click the Next or Previous Update buttons to navigate between updates. Click the X in the top right corner to go back to the previous page.
