EDITED Signal helps retailers address and optimize sorting strategies through automated product lists to third-party systems. It incorporates metrics that are then weighted and scored based on performance and sets rules to support decision logic for specific business goals, e.g., maximizing profit.

How to Amend Score Settings of Signals
You can amend the Score Settings of all signals created from the default landing page.
- Click Score Settings.
You will be asked to change two areas:
Firstly, to see how metric scores can be calculated based on product percentiles, you can select from the following options:
- Category: Products will be scored based on their category peers. For example, the performance of an ankle boot style will be compared against that of other ankle boot styles.
- Overall: Products will be scored based on their peers. For example, a footwear style's performance could be compared to a dress style that is in stock.
- Brand: Products will be scored based on their brand peers. For example, a product from X brand will be compared against any other in-stock product from X brand.
- Brand > Category: Products will be scored based on their brand & category peers. For example, an ankle boot from X brand will be compared against other ankle boot styles from X brand.
Secondly, you will be asked to change the minimum number of products a peer group must contain. The more products, the more data to compare the products' performance against.
Peer groups are determined by your business category structure. If a category is selected, a product will be compared to peers at the most granular level of that category's hierarchy, e.g., Ankle Boots. If there are not enough peers in that group based on the minimum peer number selected, the product will be compared against the next level of category, e.g., boots, and if there are still not enough, the top level of categorization, e.g., footwear.
Any changes to the score settings will influence all Signals created moving forward.
