Digital/Omni: How Do I Manage Alerts?

 

How am I Notified of Metric and Item Alerts? 

 

The Alert icon, located in the top control panel, shows if any metric or item alerts you have set up have been triggered in the past 30 days. A Metric or/and Item alert will notify you and your colleagues via email of any shifts or changes to performance as required. 

 

How to  Edit a Metric Alert

To edit a Metric Threshold Alert:

  • Click the Alert Icon in the control panel.
  • Select either the Metric or Items alert tab.



  • Select Manage metric alerts.

 



  • Select the Metric Threshold tab.

 



  • Select the checkbox next to the metric. 

 



  • Click Edit at the top right.

 

How to  Edit an Item Alert

    • Click the Alert Icon in the control panel.
    • Select either the Item alert tab.
    • Select Manage alerts.
  • Select the Items tab.
  • Select the checkbox next to the item. 
  • Click Edit.

Metric Alert Fields to Edit

You will then have the option to edit the following: 

  • States is less than or equal: change the rule as required e.g., from less than or equal to, to more than. 
  • Value:  change the threshold value, e.g., from 10% to 5%
  • To: Add additional emails to receive alerts as required within the textbox.
  • Notes: Add notes or actions to the textbox.



  • Click update at the bottom right to edit the alert. 

 

Item Alert Fields to Edit

You will then have the option to edit the following: 

  • Evaluate:  select the frequency the item alert is evaluated for change.
  • Starting from the next or last processing perio: select from the following dropdown.
  • Reporting Period: dropdown to select the length of time the alert is reporting on.
  • Item List dropdown to be notified only of new products or all products falling into the item alert criteria. New items are recommended for taking quick trading changes. Select the dropdown next to the Item List to choose a comparison, e.g., vs the previous time period.
  • To: Add additional emails to receive alerts as required within the textbox.
  • Notes: Add notes or actions to the textbox.

  • Click update at the bottom right to edit.

 

You can follow the same process to manage Metric Anomaly alerts. However, as anomaly alerts are set up with default criteria, you cannot edit them, you can only delete them.

 

How To  Delete A Metric or Item Alert

You will find the delete button next to the edit button in the manage alerts screen.

  • Select the checkbox next to the item, metric threshold, or anomaly alert. 
  • Click Delete.

  • You will then receive a warning stating,
Are you sure you wish to delete the selected alert(s)?
  • Click Delete Alert.
