How to Use the Metric Scorecards

The Metric Scorecard is organized into six sections, each containing key default metrics selected by EDITED based on retail best practices.

  • Finance
  • Product
  • Customer
  • Marketing
  • Content
  • Operations

Each of the above sections features a sub-group to help organize the metrics for speed to insight, e.g., profit.

Each section will include Objectives that re-emphasize why the metrics are important.

Each section includes three columns:

  1. The metric name
  2. The metric value for Period A (per the dates selected in the top control panel date selection functionality).
  3. The % Chg (B) column shows the absolute % change vs Period B (per the dates selected in the top control panel date selection functionality).

You can change the % Chg (B) column to compare to a 13 or 4-week period average by selecting the dropdown in the right-hand corner.

You can favorite or ‘star’ the most important metrics to you and your business. Once favorited, they will appear on your myDNA page, the default EDITED Digital/Omni homepage.

  • Click the star icon next to the metric, and it will turn blue.

Hovering over any metric will display three icons in a grey box.

The first icon will take you to the most relevant Profit Tree view.

The second icon will take you to a Quick View of the metric showing;

  • The metric's absolute value and percentage change vs Last Year and Target
  • The trend of performance of this metric.
  • The positive and negative drivers of the metrics performance.

The third icon will show you the definition of the metric itself and the data sources from which it was pulled.
