API: What Is The Difference Between A Product, Option And SKU?
- Product refers to an item at the style level and is uniquely identified with EDITED by its product_hash.
- Option refers to a product at the colour level and is uniquely identified by its option_id.
- SKU is a Stock Keeping Unit, which refers to an item down to the colour and size level.
Some retailers do not distinguish between ‘product’ and ‘option’ on their site, and consider the colour level to be the product.
- More technical detail appears in the API documentation FAQ.
